Spring is in the air!! and Maybe love is too??

Spring is a time of rebirth and revival, full of new possibilities. Almost every culture, past and present, has some sort of ritual to celebrate the promise and fertility of spring. I love Spring so much because it really signifies new life, new beginnings, and we all start feeling good, with the sun making more frequent appearances, the longer day light hours and the temperature rising – and I don’t know about where you are in the world, but in the UK its been a looong and cold winter…

For me I like to look at Spring as my start to the New Year!! Why start the New Year in the depths of winter, when we just want to hibernate from the aftermath of Christmas, the dark and dank nights; Instead, why not jump into the New Year with a new sense of new vitality, excitement, and a zest for life wanting to become aligned to your great potential!! And this is exactly what we used to do!!!

Great Britain and its American colonies did not begin following the Gregorian calendar until 1752. There we celebrated New Year’s Day on March 25. And this is now my New Year when I feel alive, I feel great and I feel a rebirth of a new authentic aligned version of me.

But of course, it’s nice to build momentum with a massive group of people which is why so many enjoy celebrating 31 st Dec NYE with others. With that many minds focused on achieving the same intention for renewal, it definitely creates a vibrational frequency that ripples throughout the planet.

But you can also begin this by yourself and/or with your own group of friends & family whenever you decide that you may want to start something over. Why not!? You don’t need permission from a man-made law or old tradition. As it is, the government has been discussing if they should remove daylight savings time. So, what do you think? Imagine if the whole world celebrated NYE in the month of April, right when the plants start growing, the flowers start blooming, and the sun starts shining longer. Just imagine what kind of energetic frequency would be released into the atmosphere as the entire world chanted happy new year on all 4 corners of the globe. We’d totally be in sync with the natural newness of nature.

Here’s the truth: isn’t every day a “new” day, anyway? Yes, of course, it is!

You can shed old skin, let go of what no longer serves you, and freshen up your aura for a new mindset whenever you want to. The power has been within us all along.

As far as I’m concerned, if March 20th marks the Spring equinox, then within my own reality, this is the true New Year’s Day. For me, it’s the revival of new life sprouting just as we witness an abundant amount of Easter eggs symbolizing birth, along with the Easter bunny symbolising sex and fertility.

When I am enriched with sunnier days and brighter forecasts, this represents, to me, an energetic motivation to go forth into the world. For these reasons, my new years’ celebration can’t possibly be in the Winter, as Winter to me symbolizes sleep, hibernation, endings, and closed cycles.

Perhaps, then, the celebration of new life slips somewhere in between the last season and the next, just as mysterious as time itself. Never a concrete or absolute defining moment, but instead, just an instinctive knowing and personal reason to begin a new chapter in life.
